Position Description:
Chester County Hospital is one of six hospitals in the University of Pennsylvania Health System and is located just west of Philadelphia in the scenic and historic town of West Chester, PA. The walkable and diverse downtown area combines the history and quaintness of a small country town with the restaurants and nightlife of a major city. West Chester and Chester County are among the best places to live and raise a family in Pennsylvania.

Since becoming Chester County's first hospital in 1892, the hospital has grown and developed new services, most recently in its state-of-the-art new facility which also includes a spacious new surgical pathology laboratory. Following the formalization of a connection with Penn Medicine in 2013, hospital growth has been simply outstanding.  

The group comprises of five experienced pathologists, covering multiple subspecialties, who work as a team, striving to practice at the forefront of diagnostic pathology. Daily, the pathologists review as a group, diagnostically challenging cases and those which foster lifelong learning.

We are seeking a pathologist to become part of our team. The duties include case sign-out, intraoperative consultations and participation in clinical conferences/tumor boards which are highly valued by our clinical colleagues. Salary and benefits are competitive and malpractice insurance is covered.

Minimum Requirements:
The candidates should hold the following qualifications:
• An MD or equivalent with eligibility for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license is required.
• Surgical pathology fellowship is required; cytopathology or surgical pathology subspecialty fellowship is desired.
• American Board of Pathology eligibility/certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology are required.
