The Physician Assistant (PA-C)/Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) is a member of the hospitalist team and is responsible for co-management of adult patients under the hospital’s care. The PA-C/CRNP works collaboratively with the hospitalist physicians to perform physical exams, collect and analyze data, formulate medical diagnoses, perform approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order laboratory studies, prescribe appropriate interventions and medications, document patient history/diagnoses/treatment plan electronically and provide direct patient care and counseling
Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Pennsylvania
National Certification as an NCCPA
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program in acute care
Current licensure as a CRNP in the state of PA
National Certification as an NP
Acute Care Certification
BCLS, ACLS Certification
Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine.
