Position Description:
The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Cedar Avenue is looking for New to Practice RNs.  Specialties that are open to New Graduates include: Medical, Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health.  

As a New Graduate at UPHS, you will be hired into the prestigious Nurse Residency Program that is offered 7 times per year in January, March, May, July, August, September, and November.  You can apply for jobs about two months prior to graduating.   All applications will be accepted and reviewed for eligibility.  Candidates who meet eligibility, can and will be considered for interviews prior to passing NCLEX.  Candidates selected for offer will then be asked to provide references for satisfactory review. Final offers will be made to candidates with a tentative start date prior to passing NCLEX based on scheduling and passing NCLEX.

We can and will extend offers prior to taking your boards, but all offers are contingent on passing your NCLEX and receiving proper state licensure (or obtaining a Graduate Nurse Permit license within the State of PA).

Minimum Requirements:
• Must have Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, at time of hire.
• Must have less than 15 months relevant professional nursing experience, at the time of hire.
• Must possess active Pennsylvania RN License, at time of hire.
• Must possess active BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association, at time of hire.
