The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague is an RN that practices as a full partner on the health care team and consistently demonstrates safe practice within the organizational professional practice model. They possess the knowledge, skills and the attitude to effectively meet standards for competent professional nursing practice as specified in the Ambulatory Nurse II position description addendum. The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague exhibits UPHS organizational behavioral competencies which reflect its mission and are embedded in the professional practice competency domains.
We are looking for someone that independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients. Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to the elderly. The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague demonstrates within the competency domains of Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence Based Practice and Research, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology/Informatics, and Teamwork.
The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague works closely with the inter professional health care team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. This position focuses on expanding the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age appropriate considerations of assigned patients. The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague seeks feedback in assuming leadership roles and provides feedback for improved clinical practice while understanding nursing practice impacts the organizational vision, mission, and values.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. BSN degree preferred. CPR certification required. A minimum of 2 –3 years of nursing experience required.
Our practice is a mixture of both telemedicine and in-person visits.
Our main office is on Market Street but the nurses also are responsible for patient care at 4 satellite offices; Cherry Hill, NJ; Phoenixville, PA; Westtown, PA; and Media, PA.
Nursing care is primarily delivered telephonically; therefore, it’s important the candidate possesses good computer skills.
Department Hours of Operation are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
RN work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
