The Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is looking for a PRN Pool RN for the day shift to join their team. The unit recently moved to the Rittenhouse location.
The ideal staff nurse practices in collaboration with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. You will provide direct care to patients who may range in age from infancy to the elderly and demonstrate competency within the domains of clinical judgment and decision-making, nurse-patient/family relationship, clinical leadership and clinical scholarship. The staff nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age appropriate considerations of assigned patients. The nurse complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies.
The qualified candidate must be a graduate of a NLN approved school of professional nursing, have a BSN, and licensure as a registered professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Experience as an RN for one to two years or more .BLS required.
The Presbyterian Center for Continuing Care is located on the 4th floor of the Scheie Building at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Please keep in mind that this department will be moving to Rittenhouse this year.
The PCCC is a hospital based subacute unit operating under the PA and CMS long-term care regulations. The unit is focused on providing orthopedic rehabilitation care. The facility has 20 beds for admission (both private and semiprivate) with dining and activity areas available for resident use. The purpose of the unit is to bridge the gap between hospital and home care for those who meet the orthopedic/ skilled care criteria.
The PCCC at employs a staff consisting of professionals from nursing, rehabilitation and other fields who take a team approach to patient care. They work closely with the patient and their family to develop the treatment and discharge plans best suited to the patient’s individual needs, and can provide any services a patient in a hospital setting might require, including laboratory, radiology and respiratory therapy.
