Position Description:
The admissions nurse will greet the newly admitted patient to perform an admission assessment, gather/verify important contact information, review and document patient’s medication list and pertinent medical history. They will orient the patient to the hospital and complete all other admission documentation, as appropriate. This is a pivotal role in facilitating patient flow. The Admission/Patient Flow RN will facilitate admissions from the Emergency Department to the inpatient units and assist in overseeing flow with discharges and transfers.

Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit of

Related Work Experience
One year recent nursing experience - preferred

Active NJ Registered Nurse license - required
Basic Life Saving certification (BLS) - required
