The Division of Infectious Diseases at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is looking for an APP to help us End the HIV Epidemic in Philadelphia. We are looking for a clinician to join our multidisciplinary team who can provide medical care to our diverse community of patients who are living with HIV. Experience providing clinical care as well as an understanding of the psychosocial needs of our population is critical. This is a grant-funded position that seeks to engage patients with a new diagnosis of HIV as well as re-engage patients who have fallen out of care.
Experience with LGBTQ+ patients is also important and both Minority and LGBTQ+ APPs are encouraged to apply.
All NP/PA's function under the guidelines as designed by Penn Medicine medical staff and are credentialed through that body. The NP/PA will be held accountable through a formal job description, delineation of privileges, and through a Collaborative/Written Practice Agreement with their supervising physician. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the supervising physician and within the Human Resource guidelines.
The NP/PA will contribute to excellence in education, leadership, professionalism, and clinical practice.
Licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Regulations
Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine Regulations.
Prior to employment, the CRNP/PA must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
Certification as a CRNP or PA-C required at time of employment.

PA and/or NJ Prescriptive Authority
National Board Certification
BLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting)
ACLS (For providers in the acute care setting)
