The Department of OB/GYN, specializing in Reproductive, Endocrine & Infertility (REI) is looking for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work within their practice.
All WH nurse practitioners or Physician Assistants function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body. The WHNP / PA-C hired by the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania will be held accountable through a formal job description, through the delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physician who has initiated a Collaborative Practice Agreement. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the collaborating physician/division designee, and within the Human Resource guidelines.
The WHNP / PA-C in the specialty practice of Reproductive Endocrinology Infertility will work collaboratively with the physicians in a team approach to enhance patient care that enables the practice to streamline new patient visits, improve patient access and provide a high level of coordinated, efficient and quality care to our REI and surgical patients. This individual will work closely with the HUP RSF to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Currently licensed to practice professional nursing (CRNP) or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Must have current CPR certification.
BSN & M.S.N. required.
Women's Health Board Certification Preferred.
Prior to employment, the CRNP must be reviewed and the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board. Licensed by the Commonwealth of PA for prescriptive authority or have completed required coursework and is eligible to apply for it.
Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
M.H.S., and certification as a Physician Assistant.
Prior to employment, the PA must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
At least two years experience, women’s health, reproductive endocrinology infertility preferred.
Position requires articulate, mature, self-directed highly motivated individual with a strong background in Ob/Gyn.
Ability to work independently and also as part of a team. Demonstrate competence in the assessment, treatment and care of the specific patients served. Minimum requirements for continuing education as outlined by the Nurse Practitioners Practice Act.
