• CCH OR nurse needs to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail while working in this fast passed busy OR. The OR performs state of the art procedures including robotic surgery.
• EMR Epic platform
• state of the art technology and innovative and evidence-based technology.
CCH is embarking on the planning for a new procedural platform with state of the art ORs. This will provide the OR with state of the art rooms and equipment. The OR RN will provide care for patients before, during and after surgery or surgical procedures. The unit is staffed by RNs, Nursing Assistants and Unit Coordinators and is supported by the management team of the Charge Nurses, Clinical Manager and Director. Education Training and Experience
. Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Experience preferred, however training and specialty specific education programs are provided during orientation, and must be successfully completed as scheduled.
Basic computer skills: keyboard, mouse use. Ability to complete data entry on clinical documentation screens. Ability to use email and internet. Ability to successfully complete on the job training for CCH computer programs. Ability to practice critical thinking and organizational skills. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
Licensure/Certification
Current Pennsylvania RN License.
CPR certification required. Certification in clinical specialty is preferred.
Must meet specialty specific competency requirements per the job description.
Operating Room: Two years’ experience in the operating room or perioperative credit course is required.
Work Environment and Hazards
Direct patient care areas on nursing unit. Risk of exposure to potentially hazardous materials and body fluids. May become involved in crisis situations.
