The Department of OB/Gyn is in search for a Womens Health NP for their Pennsylvania Hospital location. In the specialty practice of Maternal Fetal Medicine/Antenatal Testing Unit, the WHNP will work collaboratively with the physicians in a team approach to enhance patient care that enables the practice to streamline patient visits, improve patient access and provide a high level of coordinated, efficient and quality care to our high risk obstetrical patients. The incumbent will provide specialized care to women experiencing complications during pregnancy who need routing fetal testing.
All WHNP's function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body. The WHNP hired by the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania will be held accountable through a formal job description, through the delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physician who has initiated a Collaborative Practice Agreement. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the collaborating physician/division designee, and within the Human Resource guidelines.
Licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
M.S.N, and certification as a Women's Health nurse practitioner.
Prior to employment, the CRNP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
Must be experienced in limited obstetrical ultrasonography (LOBU).
Monday to Fridays. Hours of work determined by the Clinical Service to meet the needs of patient care.
Hospital continuing education to meet the requirements of the system and as per JCAHO.
Minimum requirements for continuing education as outlined by the Nurse Practitioners Practice Act.
