The Department of Ob/Gyn is looking for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to provide patient care for their Maternal Fetal Medicine/Antenatal Testing Unit primarily at their Cherry Hill, NJ location and at times at the Penn Medicine Washington Square/HUP locations, when necessary
The WHNP in the specialty practice of Maternal Fetal Medicine/Antenatal Testing Unit will work collaboratively with Physicians, Ultra Sound Techs, LPN/RNs and Medical Assistants. The WHNP is responsible for coordination and provision of comprehensive preconception and prenatal care, including but not exclusive to virtual and in-person office hours, maternal fetal monitoring and interpretation, Biophysical scans and limited US, phone triage, telehealth visits, genetic screening and diabetic management.
All Women's Health Nurse Practitioners function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body. The WHNP hired by the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania will be held accountable through a formal job description, through the delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physician who has initiated a Collaborative Practice Agreement. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the collaborating physician/division designee, and within the Human Resource guidelines.
Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of New Jersey to start and will then need to become license in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
M.S.N, and certification as a nurse practitioner.
Prior to employment, the CRNP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
Must be experienced in limited obstetrical ultrasonography (LOBU).
Women's Health Board Certification preferred
Monday to Fridays. Hours of work determined by the Clinical Service to meet the needs of patient care.
Hospital continuing education to meet the requirements of the system and as per JCAHO. Minimum requirements for continuing education as outlined by the Nurse Practitioners Practice Act.
