About the Position
The Heart Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support and strategy. The position also allows for carrying a part-time case load. Under the direction of the Program Manager, responsibilities include: supervising clinical staff and interns, reviewing/approving time sheets, managing UR functions, assisting in program development and implementation, attending meetings within and outside agency, helping manage day to day site functions, and actively collaborating with community agencies.
Supervises Heart Case Managers, Therapists, and Peer Support Specialists.
Position Functions & Responsibilities

• Functions as a leader of an interdisciplinary team in planning and providing consumer care and program needs at the Center. Leads treatment team meetings and facilitates discussion around assessment, treatment and follow up care needs.
• Provides consultation, supervision and day-to-day coordination of team members.
• Assures that Center policies, procedures and guidelines are followed.
• Provides case management and treatment coordination for consumers and individual treatment as needed.
• Oversees and develops individualized behavioral treatment plans and implements the plans including assisting interdisciplinary team members in administration of the plans.
• Responsible for assisting in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orienting and supervising new employees.
• Supervises and monitors all clinical and documentation activities for programs, in keeping with Center philosophy and policies, and with state and county guidelines.
• Completes all supporting work documentation and appropriate forms adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards. Maintains up-to-date assessment and treatment notes.
• Is aware of all legal requirements, proceedings, deadlines and mandates regarding the consumer’s treatment and the establishment of treatment plans. Will work with the clinical needs of the patient and within any legal requirements imposed by the court or by Washington Administrative Code.
• Provide clinical services with respect for consumer/family rights and within the clinical Code of Ethics.
• Participates in ongoing in-service education, program development and program evaluation. Develops, coordinates and provides staff training in non-medical mental health issues.
• Assumes responsibility for completing continuing education requirements as mandated by profession.
• Participates in regular self and peer evaluation of work performance.
• Supports a system-wide understanding of trauma prevalence, impact and trauma informed care.
• Fosters healing, hopeful, honest and trusting relationships for consumers and employees; Values consumer voice, choice and self-advocacy.
• Demonstrates a commitment to cultural competence.
• Promotes a safe, calm and secure environment with supportive care and family-driven services that are trauma specific and promote recovery and wellness.
• Follows organization infection control policies and procedures. At risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Professional interest and commitment to the mentally ill and in the development of systems of care for the mentally ill.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Commitment to a multidisciplinary team approach to treatment and care of consumers.
• Able to interact with and supervise team members in a collaborative manner.
• Able to use sensitivity, tact and respect with clients; as well as firmness when necessary.
• Solid knowledge of theories of human behavior, personality development and psychological and physical cause of mental disorders.
• Knowledge of principles and techniques of group and individual therapy and experience; understanding of principles and methods of intervention.
• Familiarity with Washington Administrative Code regulations and professional standards governing the treatment of mentally ill consumers.
Education, Experience, & Certification
• Mental Health Professional designation in the State of Washington
• 2 yrs previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity
• Master’s degree in one of the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited program
• Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred
• Valid Washington States driver’s license
