PROGRAM ASSISTANT I, Lemelson-MIT Program (LMIT), to provide program support within the LMIT, a nationwide initiative that celebrates outstanding inventors and inspires young people to pursue creative lives and careers through invention. Will support three key areas of the overall Lemelson-MIT Program--Lemelson-MIT prize programs, community engagement, and Salesforce administration. Responsibilities include conducting routine research on potential prize applicants and assisting with outreach for the annual Student Prize program; assisting with the coordination of the screening and judging process for both awards programs, including scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics; conducting routine research on key stakeholders in the local communities where LMIT operates Invention Education programs and assisting with the annual outreach campaign; and providing first-line Salesforce administration. Will also provide back-up support on general office administration as needed and assist with coordinating logistics for EurekaFest, Lemelson-MIT’s signature annual event.

REQUIRED: at least two years’ related program and administrative experience; a high school education diploma; strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills; flexibility; demonstrated ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work effectively under the pressure of deadlines; full working knowledge of general office practices and procedures; meticulous attention to detail; good judgment with confidential information; and strong computer software skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Google Docs, Dropbox, and web searches; ability to work independently and as part of a team; and strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Associates degree preferred. Salesforce experience is a plus, but training will be available. Job #15868-4
