Posting Description
FINANCIAL ANALYST, Treasury and Planning - Office of the Vice President for Finance, performs operational support and in-depth analysis related to day-to-day cash management, longer-term liquidity management and financial planning, the Institute’s debt portfolio, and capital project planning; partners closely with groups across MIT, including Budget and Financial Analysis, the Controllership, MITIMCo, Office of Campus Planning, and the Department of Facilities. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to core treasury workstreams while also contributing to strategic analysis supporting key Institute priorities.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, or related field; a minimum of four years of experience in treasury, financial planning, or financial analysis; analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling and working with large data sets; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using financial systems and data analysis or reporting tools; ability to learn new systems and tools quickly; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork orientation and collaboration and interpersonal skills. PREFERRED: MBA or other related master’s degree; professional certification relevant to treasury or finance (e.g., CFA, CTP, CPA), or progress toward such certification; experience with data reporting and analysis.
