Posting Description

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), designs, installs, maintains and upgrades the Institute’s databases; works on one or more projects by supporting one or more databases of low to medium complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of the data; and expected to work with some oversight, plan and organize database activities regarding reliability, performance monitoring and tuning, security, backup, and disaster recovery.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of three years of experience in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or another related field; working knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash,etc.); broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application and/or Web standards; knowledge of web applications and the role databases play in a web application stack; experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/Mariadb, and/or PostgreSQL; ability to multi-task effectively; ability to adjust to changing priorities; ability to breakdown raw information and identify relationships between components; basic oral and written communication skills that support transactional activities; and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with other members of formal and informal groups in the pursuit of common missions, vision, values and mutual goals.

This is a full-time remote position.
