Posting Description

APPLICATIONS SYSTEMS ANALYST II, Admissions, will serve as a lead technical specialist and database architect for all Admissions systems, particularly the Technolutions Slate Admissions application.  Serve as a key stakeholder and project manager in the long-term design and maintenance of all Admissions IT systems, particularly Slate.  Oversee the sustainable structure of the IT systems to ensure that they meet the unique needs of a large, complex, and diverse office.  Oversee systems implementation and maintenance, and independently research and resolve complex technical issues.  Serve as the technical liaison between specific admissions teams, training and supporting staff on the use of IT systems, developing documentation of IT business processes, and providing desktop and technology support to Admissions staff.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or related field and minimum of three years  of experience, relevant technical experience in CRM Database management required and Technolutions Slate preferred; ability to design and manage relational databases, and proficiency in hand-writing code and queries, such as SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Python; poject management experience, including the ability to balance numerous time-sensitive projects accurately, with a keen attention to detail; knowledge of data security and integrity, as well as Apple Macintosh computer experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision over sustained periods; and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people and work styles with sensitivity, discretion, and tact, and support MIT’s commitment to access, equity, and inclusion. PREFERRED: Experience working in higher education, admissions, or secondary education; or experience in Filemaker, Microsoft SharePoint/OneDrive.
 
Will be eligible to work a combination of in-office days and remote days each week.
