Posting Description

JOB CONNECTOR PROGRAM ASSOCIATE, Office of Government and Community Relations, works for the Job Connector by MIT, a workforce development hub that provides comprehensive support to Cambridge job seekers, including skill assessment, resume writing, interview preparation, and individual career advising; organize logistics and recruit participants for the Job Connector’s flagship programs and workshops; respond to inquiries and support clients through the job-search process; assist the Program Development Administrator with developing new programming and collecting data to evaluate program effectiveness; lead outreach efforts, including the development and distribution of newsletters, flyers, and social media posts; foster relationships with Cambridge departments, nonprofit and workforce development partners, employers, and MIT colleagues; assist with event organization and community engagement activities and represent the Job Connector at these gatherings; and help manage the day-to-day operations of the Job Connector office, including maintaining accurate client records, assisting with program tracking, and administrative processes.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of five years of administrative, office, or related experience; able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team; skillset to prioritize, track, and implement multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills; ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders and navigate complex partnerships is important; advanced-level computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Canva, and Google Suite applications; strong skills in leading meetings, convening people for productive dialogue, deep listening, and written and verbal communication. PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree; workforce development experience; experience with AI integration; multilingual skills; and knowledge of Cambridge and MIT.
