Posting Description

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2, Student Financial Services, reporting to the Associate Director for Student Accounts and Collections, coordinates the processing and reconciliation of all daily cashiering and deposits received at SFS and assists with customer service inquiries related to student accounts, student billing, tax forms, sponsor payments and veteran’s benefits. The Operations Assistant also provides support and backup for critical functions for the Operations team.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of three years of experience, student financial services experience or Bursar experience at a higher education institution preferred; expert knowledge of student account payments, including cashiering; demonstrated proficiency in student account systems (Banner preferred); excellent written & verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on process improvement and analysis; proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues; discretion and judgment with managing confidential personal and financial information; dedication to developing a thorough understanding of multiple systems and processes and knowledge of Institute, federal and state rules and regulations; sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds; and ability to find resolutions for complex problems with varied stakeholders, set work priorities, and successfully balance workload in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
