Posting Description

COMMUNICATIONS SENIOR ASSOCIATE, MIT Climate, supports the execution and coordination of communications for the Office of the Vice President for Energy and Climate (VPEC). Reporting to the Director of Communications, this role helps translate strategy into clear, consistent, and creative content delivered across multiple channels. This is a role for a professional communicator who thrives on both the structure of project management and the craft of storytelling. MIT has an ambitious vision for building well-being around the world. The Communications Manager plays a key role in sharing that vision on campus and beyond, highlighting the goals of the MIT Climate Project and establishing a distinctive, compelling presence for our work around the world.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a minimum of three years of experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field; strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines; a forward-thinking, strategic mindset and the ability to balance independence and collaboration; and experience with digital communications including websites, email marketing, and social media; and attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.

This is a two year appointment.
