Posting Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, DATA STRATEGY & BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE, Campus Services and Stewardship, to lead the development and execution of a centralized data strategy across a large, complex organization supporting MIT’s built environment; establish enterprise data standards, including common definitions, metrics, and authoritative data sources, and drive their adoption; design and deliver scalable data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions to support decision-making across finance, operations, and capital planning; partner with Finance, Operations, and Business Systems to translate complex needs into governed data products; represent CSS in Institute-wide data governance and ERP initiatives, influencing system design, data architecture, and reporting frameworks; and serve as a strategic advisor to leadership to advance data-driven decision-making and operational effectiveness.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data governance; experience leading BI strategy, data governance frameworks, and analytics initiatives; familiarity with financial and operational data structures; experience with ERP reporting and enterprise data warehouse environments; hands-on dashboard and data modeling experience (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; and ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments.

This position has a hybrid schedule and will require at least 2 days on-site.
