NETWORK ENGINEER III, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to design and build network infrastructure components, and the integration of technologies from various cloud, virtualized server, storage, and networking vendors. This role is deeply involved in the planning and design of enterprise and campus network infrastructure and are expected to create innovative, scalable strategies that support MIT’s mission.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years of experience in network engineering, information technology, or another related field; extensive experience in operating in a large, multi-site campus environment; experience supporting multi-date center network architectures; expertise in the design and implementation of enterprise-scale network solutions; experience with Mist/Juniper/HPE wireless platforms; experience with Juniper EX and QFX switching platforms; experience with Cisco, ASR, NCS, and 8k routing platforms; experience with ACLs and firewall platforms; experience with GNU/Linux operating systems; familiar with scripting and automation tools; understanding of network protocols and switching protocols, wireless protocols, and standards; understanding of authentication and authorization tools and multicast technologies.

This is a full-time hybrid position.
