Posting Description
SENIOR DIRECTOR, ADMINISTRATION AND OPERATIONS, Media Lab, a pivotal leadership position, driving administration and organizational performance, and advancing strategic initiatives cross-functional priorities that propel the Media Lab’s mission forward.  Serving as the key operational leader, the Senior Director will oversee the Lab’s functional infrastructure, including Development, Communications, External Relations, Finance, Facilities, Human Resources and Computing, while fostering seamless collaboration across teams to accelerate innovation and maximize impact.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of six years of progressive supervisory experience, including track record of success leading large operational teams; strategic thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills; exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust to various working styles; experience with project management and leading change; excellent management skills, and the ability to lead, advise, direct and coordinate senior staff; superb written and oral communication skills; ability to translate the work of the Lab to myriad audiences in exciting and compelling ways; adept at stakeholder management and negotiation, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external leaders at all levels; proven initiative, resourcefulness, and flexibility; proficient computer skills especially with Macintosh computers and Microsoft Office; and confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and superb judgment. PREFERRED: Master’s Degree; or experience in management consulting or business strategy at a high-growth company.
