Posting Description

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR, Campus Services and Stewardship (CSS), to support a large, complex, service-driven organization of 750+ employees—including both represented and non-represented staff—by delivering responsive, detail-oriented HR operations and frontline employee support. Serving as a key member of the HR team, provides broad exposure to core HR functions while supporting managers and employees across multiple operational units responsible for 13.9 million square feet of campus facilities. Will execute HR transactions including hires, transfers, salary changes, terminations, and leaves of absence in accordance with MIT policies and collective bargaining agreements; partner with managers and the HR Business Partner to support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce changes; administer and track  employee leaves, worker’s compensation cases, and ADA accommodation processes; support union-related processes including internal postings and bid activity; maintain accurate HRIS records and conducts audits to ensure data integrity and compliance; prepare reports and maintains headcount and position data to support workforce planning; and coordinate employee engagement and recognition initiatives that contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace; and exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters and serves as a trusted first point of contact for HR-related inquiries.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; minimum of two years of HR-related experience; working knowledge of HR policies and employment laws; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment; excellent customer service and communication skills; demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information.

This position has a hybrid schedule and will require at least 2 days on-site.
