Posting Description

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR, Campus Services and Stewardship (CSS), to provide day-to-day HR administrative support, including processing transactions, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, maintaining records, and responding to HR inquiries, while complex employee relations and contractual matters are handled by HR leadership or Labor Relations. CSS supports MIT’s education and research mission by managing the Institute’s built environment, including design, construction, maintenance, operations, and sustainability. With more than 800 employees across trades, operations, and administrative roles, CSS maintains 205 buildings, 20 residence halls, and 13.9 million square feet of space, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations. The CSS Human Resources team advances this work through people-centered, service-driven support, promoting operational excellence, leadership readiness, employee engagement, and equitable HR practices while ensuring compliance with Institute policies and collective bargaining agreements.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of two years of HR-related experience, with a solid understanding of employment laws and HR policies; strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment; effective communication, interpersonal skills, and a customer service mindset; ability to handle confidential information with discretion and be proficient in Microsoft Office. PREFERRED: Experience in HR systems.

This position has a hybrid schedule and will require at least 2 days on-site.
