Posting Description

POLICY FELLOW, MIT Sloan School of Management- Policy, will coordinate efforts to elevate and strategically shape policy-relevant research across MIT, identifying new opportunities aligned with policymaker needs. Reporting to the Executive Director, the position supports the execution of the Policy @ MIT's mission and strategy. Responsibilities include coordinating proactive and responsive policy engagement, ensuring effective external communications, and overseeing the creation of reports, briefs, and other knowledge products. The policy fellow will work closely with research, communications, and program teams, as well as affiliated faculty, to coordinate activities, enhance visibility of policy-relevant work, and ensure timely, high-quality outputs that advance MIT's policy impact.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study; a minimum of three years of policy development and/or policy advisory experience; experience with federal and/or state-level government relations and/or policy communications; understanding of legislative and regulatory processes, including topical jurisdiction and policy ecosystems; superior communication skills with an ability to understand, distill, and translate complex technical material for different policy audiences; and be adaptable with job responsibilities that are subject to change in response to rapidly evolving policy and political landscape. PREFERRED: Master’s or Doctoral degree in natural sciences, social sciences, economics, or engineering; local and international policy experience.
