Posting Description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Picower Institute for Learning and Memory - Wilson Lab, will support in vivo calcium imaging experiments in mice. Primary responsibilities include animal handling and preparation; assistance with stereotaxic and survival surgeries; post-operative monitoring and care following complex surgical procedures; maintenance of the animal colony; and safe handling and disposal of biologically hazardous materials, including viral vectors and animal tissues. The Technical Associate 1 will also operate and maintain miniscope-based imaging systems, support behavioral experiments, monitor data quality, and ensure strict adherence to all CAC, biosafety, and institutional safety protocols. The role requires close coordination with faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and trainees to ensure experimental continuity and regulatory compliance. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: A bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, or related field; a minimum of two years of related lab experience; superb oral and written communication skills; the ability to analyze data and present it in a format suitable for publication; and animal handling experience, preferably with rodents.
