Posting Description

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR, MIT Museum, reports to the Administrative Manager and plays a key role in supporting the administrative functions of the MIT Museum, a 70+ person DLC. This position offers day-to-day support for administrative operations and is the primary support to the Deputy Director. This position is not eligible for regular hybrid work, due to the expectation that the employee will be on site to support the administrative functions.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: A high school degree and minimum of two years of administrative experience that includes secretarial and office responsibilities; strong customer service orientation; excellent organizational, time management, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft and Google platforms and comfort with new software; comfort with and ability to work with frequent interruptions; and ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of administrative, office, or related experience; and MIT experience including MIT’s financial systems (SAP, Concur, Coupa, Atlas).

May include occasional evening and weekend hours.
