Posting Description

BISWAS POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP, Office of Innovation and Strategy, to join the second round of the fellowship, a prestigious program supporting innovative, cross-disciplinary research through the MIT Health and Life Sciences (HEALS) Collaborative. The fellowship seeks exceptional early-career researchers pursuing high-impact work in areas such as AI and health, low-cost diagnostics, nano-scale therapeutics, neuroscience, women’s health, and fundamental discovery-driven science. Will conduct original and collaborative research aligned with MIT HEALS; engage with faculty, staff, and industry partners to translate findings into real-world impact; participate in HEALS events, programming, and strategic initiatives; contribute through presentations, publications, and potential pilot projects; and collaborate across disciplines to advance the future of health and life sciences. Fellows receive a fully funded four-year appointment, faculty mentorship, participation in a strong cohort, and access to programming focused on academic, industry, and entrepreneurial career paths. Fellows may collaborate with MIT faculty from any department and must include a letter of support from their proposed faculty host. Applicants are encouraged to contact potential hosts early to discuss research plans.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: PhD, MD, or equivalent by June 30, 2026; demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary and translational research; strong analytical, communication, and project-management skills; and collaborative mindset and commitment to MIT’s mission.

A four-year, full-time appointment with a $90,000 annual salary (plus cost-of-living increases), MIT benefits, research support, and access to innovation resources. Fellows are based on MIT’s Cambridge, MA campus.
