Posting Description

REGISTERED NURSE, PRIMARY CARE, MIT Health, will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care to the patient population of their assigned service area and provide direct patient care according to age-specific plans of care that is within the scope of practice of a registered nurse. The Registered Nurse performs nursing knowledge through the principles of telephone and waiting room triage. Utilizing established guidelines in response to each patient’s needs, this position possess’ the ability to easily access data, interpret age-specific needs, and provide nursing care in collaboration with others. Lastly, the Registered Nurse plays a critical role in providing health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT Health.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree; current RN license in Massachusetts; BLS required, ACLS preferred; a minimum of three years as a Registered Nurse in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department; fluency with EMR systems, Cerner preferred; and experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
