Posting Description

MANAGING DIRECTOR, GLOBAL STRATEGIC ALLIANCES, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, will establish the goals, strategic vision, structure, business models and organization of the Alliances department for CSAIL; develop the department’s budget; and oversee all marketing, communications, media and events for the department. Alliances, comprised of several programs to facilitate connections and collaborations including the CSAIL Alliance Program, Student Engagement, CSAIL research initiatives, the Visiting Industry Researcher Program, CSAIL start-up connect, professional programs and CSAIL conferences, is focused on developing strong relationships with industry and advancing CSAIL’s visibility within the business community.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of eight years of related experience in business development, technological marketing and/or industrial relations; be a strategic thinker with strong program management skills; proven ability to understand, communicate and present complex technical information effectively in both sales and service context; solid experience in relating to and negotiating with senior corporate executives; ability to manage multiple objectives and tasks and meet competing deadlines; outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to relate to a wide diversity of faculty, staff, students and community members; excellent oral and written communication skills; and ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally approximately 10% to 20% of the time and to attend occasional night and weekend events.
