Posting Description

NURSE PRACTITIONER, PRIMARY CARE, MIT Health, to provide direct patient care to MIT Health patients; assess patient’s health status through interview and physical exam and synthesize this clinical information to formulate health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of follow up strategies according to age-specific plans of care; and provides health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT Health as well as across the MIT Community. Work is done in accordance with MIT Health Policies as well as State and Federal rules, regulations, and standard of care.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Master’s degree in nursing and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, allowing for care of adult patients; current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certification; current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS); MA Board authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse; valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA; and ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.
