MIT provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the Institute reasonably expects to pay for a full time position at the time of posting (part time positions are pro-rated). Posting Description

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR, MIT CLIMATE, to support the financial operations of the Office of the Vice President for Energy and Climate. Will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions; supporting budget development; ensuring compliance with MIT and sponsor policies; and providing administrative and analytical support to departmental leadership. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in a dynamic academic environment.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; a minimum of two years of relevant financial or administrative experience; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial software systems; strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex financial policies and procedures. PREFERRED: Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems; experience working in higher education, research administration, or nonprofit financial operations; and familiarity with MIT’s financial systems (e.g., Coupa, Concur, Kuali Coeus, Atlas).
