ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, Chung Lab - Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, is a pivotal role responsible for overall administration, procurement, office inventory management, and logistics for a large NIH UM1 research center. This position involves scheduling routine sub-team, program, and center-wide meetings, providing technical support to leadership and lab personnel, and serving as the primary point of contact for non-research-related laboratory issues; assuming the role of the sole purchaser for the lab, assists in compiling quarterly and annual reports, and performing copy-editing and proofreading tasks as needed; managing vendor relationships, service contracts, the lab website, software/licenses, and the lab calendar; ensuring meticulous record keeping; and undertaking other duties as required to support the efficient operation of the center.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of two years of administrative, office, or related experience; proficiency in office software and data management tools; exceptional organizational and multitasking skills; strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree and experience in a research or academic setting at center-scale. Job #25011-4
