Job Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF PHILANTHROPIC PARTNERSHIPS (OPP) STRATEGYVice President for Resource Development, will work with the OPP and colleagues across the Institute to manage prospects and donors, from high-capacity non-alumni to corporate prospects; will implement and adapt strategies for priority regions and prospects, working closely with the Prospect Development team to track the pipeline and ensure that fundraisers' portfolios align with the overall strategic plan; will collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Operations and Strategy on the management and execution of Presidential projects; will work in conjunction with the Associate Director of Operations and the OPP Communications team to coordinate and co-manage overlapping work.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:bachelor’s degree; minimum of two years of development experience; at least one year of supervisory experience; ability to analyze and synthesize the fundraising goals and needs of a large principal gifts team, setting the resulting strategy and driving its implementation; robust research skills; exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively; ability to perform work on a consistent basis with accuracy, high quality, follow-through, and time sensitivity; adept planning, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, project management, and decision-making skills; strategic and creative thinking and open to change; reputable interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse service-oriented environment; ability to work well independently, take initiative, and anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change; proficiency with PCs and standard applications; ability to learn and navigate event database platforms; demonstrated ability to work with confidential information; enthusiastic commitment to MIT’s Advancement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) priorities; willingness and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends; and proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms preferably advanced in Tableau. Job #24399-7
