Job Description

DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE, MIT Libraries, to oversee financial operations, budget development, and analysis in alignment with the Libraries’ organizational goals. Will generate insightful reports, implement efficient financial tools, and lead teams through change initiatives; liaise with MIT central offices; manage pre-award activities and ensure compliance with policies; and provide leadership and support in fostering professional growth and engage in leadership activities within the Libraries and MIT community.  The role emphasizes collaboration, conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment while contributing to strategic decision-making.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least seven years' experience--that includes supervisor experience--in higher education financial management; demonstrated proficiency with financial software and tools; ability to analyze complex financial data, identify inefficiencies, and implement streamlined solutions; strong oral and written communication skills; and discretion when handling sensitive matters. PREFERRED:  MIT experience and programming experience, particularly with QuickBase and other tools used at MIT. Job #24372-11
