Job Description

RESEARCH SCIENTIST IBiology-Vos Lab, to join a research team studying how gene expression and genome architecture are coupled.  Will be part of a multinational consortium that was recently funded to develop small molecule compounds to target proteins that are involved in the development and progression of pediatric cancers. The work will involve protein expression, protein purification, molecular cloning, cell culture work, and structure determination. The group uses biochemical and structural approaches including X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM to analyze how machines involved in gene expression and genome organization interact and regulate each other’s activity.  

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, or related field; at least two years of work experience in a biochemistry/structural biology laboratory; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. PREFERRED:  experience with molecular cloning, cell culture, protein purification, biochemical assays, and de novo structure determination.  Job #24100
