Posting Description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Civil and Environmental Engineering, to join a team studying climate resilience in Bangladesh, CREWSNET (Reinventing Climate Change Adaptation with the Climate Resilience Early Warning System).  The work is focused on the combined effects on southern Bangladesh of sea level rise, shifts in rainfall, land subsidence/aggradation, land-use, and water management. Responsibilities include designing field data collection, developing models to predict future conditions, and the analysis of different approaches for Bangladesh to adapt to climate change.  The work entails working closely with other members of the CREWSNET team.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  Ph.D. focused on a topic related to the project; skills in hydrologic modeling, computational method, and conducting field projects; excellent writing skills; and the ability to work independently.  Job #22439
