Job Description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, McGovern Institute for Brain Research-Wickersham Laboratory, to develop next-generation viral tracing and transduction technologies for neuroscience.  Will spearhead the development and validation of multiple novel genetics techniques for neuroscience, including next-generation monosynaptic tracing systems using new forms of nontoxic rabies viral vectors, and tracing systems involving next-generation sequencing (NGS) and spatial transcriptomics for mapping neural circuitry with far higher resolution than is currently possible.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a Ph.D. or its equivalent in biology, neuroscience, biological engineering, or a related discipline.  PREFERRED:  a strong molecular biology background and in vivo experience. Job #21057

The position will be funded through NIH BRAIN Initiative grants for a minimum of one year, although obtaining external fellowships will be encouraged.
