TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, TONEGAWA LAB, Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, to join a neuroscience laboratory working on optogenetics-aided anatomical research on learning and memory in rodents. Emphasis will be on networks, microcircuitry, and cell-type specific connectivity. Both classical (injected tracers and standard histological preps) and next-generation approaches (viral vectors) will be used. Will work primarily under the supervision of one or more postdoctoral fellows.
REQUIRED: B.S. in biology or related field; two years of post-degree experience, including experience working with rodents; self-motivation; and strong organizational skills. PREFERRED: experience in one or more of the following: stereotaxic-aided microsurgery, dissection and organ retrieval, perfusion, and histological processing. Job #20390
