ASSOCIATE, SOLVE INNOVATION FUTURE, Solve, to play a critical role in fundraising, investor relations, due diligence, and portfolio management. Responsibilities include developing and executing a fundraising strategy and multi-million dollar campaign in collaboration with Solve Innovation Future Principal; building and maintaining relationships with prospective funders and potential donors; representing Solve and Solve Innovation Future with high net worth individuals and corporate and foundation representatives to secure financial philanthropic support; collaborating across MIT advancement system to expand philanthropic support; overseeing junior staff; managing post-investment portfolio reporting; supporting ongoing donor relations efforts and the coordination/organization of events; conducting due diligence on Solver team pipeline for Investment Committee review; managing ongoing market research and recommending future investment opportunities; supporting existing Solve Innovation Future portfolio in strategic and growth efforts; and working closely with the Community Team to understand Solver teams’ financial and non-financial needs.

The Solve Innovation Future is a philanthropic venture investment vehicle dedicated to investing in Solver teams. Through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) held with a sponsor organization, Solve offers flexible and catalytic capital to scale early-stage impact solutions around the world.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; five years’ experience, preferably in consulting/investing; experience managing high-level investors/stakeholders; excellent organizational skills; flexibility; and ability to work independently, take initiative, anticipate needs, prioritize and plan work efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
