OFFICER, HEALTH COMMUNITY, Solve, to play a key role in Solve’s health and wellbeing work and as part of a wider team hosting its Global Challenges around sustainability, health, learning, and economic prosperity. Solve, an MIT initiative with a mission to solve world challenges, finds incredible, tech-based social entrepreneurs around the world through open innovation Challenges. Will grow and engage Solve’s community and marketplace, including member organizations; leading voices from the private, public, nonprofit, and academic sectors; and social entrepreneurs that Solve selects and supports. Responsibilities include researching, recruiting, and managing relationships with members of the private/public/nonprofit/academic sectors on health-related topics to nurture a global community of diverse cross-sector leaders; helping drive and scale tech-enabled innovation on challenges such as access to quality and affordable healthcare, mental wellbeing, health security, etc.; sourcing funders, members, and partners; supporting annual cohort of innovators; collecting and validating data; working with Solve colleagues to plan, execute, and facilitate interactive events, physically and virtually; promoting annual Solve Global Challenges to find the most promising diverse applicants; database maintenance; and managing interns/volunteers.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ related work experience, including relationship management; initiative; flexibility; and ability to work independently and plan work efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED: knowledge of and/or experience with the health and healthcare sector globally; experience in a social and/or environmental impact organization; experience in sales, fund-raising, or nonprofit development; experience working as or with entrepreneurs and innovators; and project management training/experience. While the team is currently working entirely remotely, starting this fall Solve team members will generally be expected to spend some days each week in-person in Cambridge, MA.
