OFFICER, LEARNING COMMUNITY, Solve, to be a key member of Solve’s learning and education work and join the wider community team that hosts Solve’s Global Challenges around sustainability, health, learning, and economic prosperity. Will research, recruit, and manage relationships with private/public/nonprofit/academic people and organizations; help drive and scale tech-enabled innovation on some of the most pressing challenges of our times; source funders, members, and partners to support Solve, including hosting events, funding Solver teams, and participating in Solve’s full innovation cycle; support an annual cohort of innovators through curated introductions, meetups, event design and delivery, and ongoing support for alumni teams; facilitate and broker partnerships between Solver teams and Solve community leaders; collect and validate data; collaborate on planning, executing, and facilitating events; perform database maintenance; and manage interns/volunteers.
Solve is an MIT initiative with a mission to solve world challenges and a marketplace for social impact innovation. Through open innovation Challenges, Solve finds tech-based social entrepreneurs around the world and brings together MIT’s innovation ecosystem and a community of members to fund and support these entrepreneurs.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; two years’ work experience in a related area, including relationship management; flexibility; initiative; and ability to work independently and plan work effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED: knowledge of and/or experience in ed-tech and education sector work globally; experience in a social and/or environmental impact organization; experience in sales, fund-raising, or nonprofit development; experience working as or with entrepreneurs/innovators; and project management training/experience. The team is currently working entirely remotely, but starting this fall Solve, team members will generally be expected to spend some days each week in-person in Cambridge, MA.
