DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, CORPORATE GIVING, MIT Museum, to report to the senior leadership giving officer, arts initiatives and assist with conceptualizing and executing a new corporate annual giving program as an important revenue source for the MIT Museum. Will serve as a member of a small development team working with Museum leadership to build and expand the funding base, with a focus on corporate prospects and donors. Responsibilities include planning and implementing the program and benefits structure; identifying, researching, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporate gift and sponsorship donors; working with the senior leadership giving officer, arts initiatives, and other relevant Museum staff to build the infrastructure for the program, including prospect identification and management using the new CRM system and integrating with MIT systems, the creation of communication materials, devising membership/sponsorship benefits structure, and planning member programs; building relationships with members of the local corporate community, personally and with the involvement of Museum leadership; and developing solicitation plans, also executing personally and in partnership with Museum leadership.

REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree; at least two years of front-line fund-raising experience, preferably with a cultural or higher education organization; demonstrated communication skills and an interest in interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and members of the business community; a proven record of accomplishment in a position requiring sound project management skills, planning, and implementation; and a demonstrated record of securing annual gifts.
