SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER/CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIST, MIT Museum, to report to and support the director of technology and digital strategy with developing and maintaining the MIT Museum's content infrastructure used to drive visitor-facing digital experiences on-site andonline. Will collaborate with all departments to implement a vision of remixable content delivery through museum-wide APIs and middleware. As the museum relaunches its website, will collaborate closely with an external web development firm. After launch, will assume primary responsibility for maintaining, extending, and experimenting with the museum's online expression. Will also help to develop interactive experiences that visitors might encounter while visiting the MIT Museum in Cambridge.
This position represents a unique opportunity to build a robust platform on which to build the next generationof digital experiences as the MIT Museum opens a new museum in a new location.

REQUIRED: B.S. or B.A. degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline; at least five years of website development, support, and maintenance experience; strong background in large-scale, database-drivenweb application development; experience developing applications using headless, API-driven content management systems; experience creating and documenting APIs to be used/consumed by others; experience designing and maintaining production-grade architectures on Amazon WebServices (AWS); ability to work independently with supervision by the director and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams; and ability to communicate and create project documentation.
