LEARNING PRODUCT SPECIALIST, Solve, to lead the design and development of an open-source, wiki-based, digital learning platform for essential medical and surgical skills. Will manage the efforts of external partners such as web developers, content providers, medical experts, and educational experts; and create standards for learning content, develop comprehensive user guides, and coordinate with external partners to continually improve the platform. Responsibilities include managing the overall design and development of the platform; designing, managing, and refining processes for continual testing and improvement; determining appropriate involvement of key stakeholders; providing technical support to platform users; managing user-created content on “knowledge pages” that will supplement training modules created content providers; collaborating with potential partners to adapt existing learning resources and knowledge pages for the digital learning platform; creating branding assets, guidelines, and style guides; and other duties as needed.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ experience developing online learning content, modules, and products; working understanding of best practices and standard procedures for developing and managing online learning systems; experience managing and communicating with web developers and technical experts; ability to construct systems and procedures for ensuring the quality and usability of the platform and related content; knowledge of terminology in web development, online learning, and training; and discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues. PREFERRED: two years’ experience building online learning systems for learners in low- to middle-income countries; undergraduate and graduate education in education technology, health care, and/or online learning; experience developing a similar wiki-based online learning system for training health care providers in resource constrained settings; and interdisciplinary knowledge of the health care professions.
