PROGRAM ASSISTANT 2, Lemelson-MIT Program (LMIT), to provide program support within the LMIT, a nationwide initiative that celebrates outstanding inventors and inspires young people to pursue creative lives and careers through invention. Will support three key areas--the Lemelson-MIT Student Prize and Lemelson-MIT Prize, data coordination, and invention education community engagement. Key responsibilities include conducting web research on potential prize applicants, assisting with outreach for the annual Student Prize program, and assisting with the coordination of the screening and judging process for both awards programs, including scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics; conducting web research on key stakeholders in the local communities where LMIT operates Invention Education programs, assisting with its annual outreach campaign, and creating a monthly analysis of LMIT web traffic and community outreach success stories; and managing collected data and mailing lists, including some Salesforce administration. Will also provide back-up support on general office administration as needed and assist in coordinating logistics for Lemelson-MIT’s signature, annual event, EurekaFest.

REQUIRED: at least three years’ related program or administrative experience; high school diploma; strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills; experience managing data in Excel and/or a CRM; and effective and concise written and verbal communication skills. Seek a solutions- and detail-oriented person with full working knowledge of general office practices and procedures who is able to ability to prioritize, function effectively under the pressure of deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team. An associate’s degree or higher is preferred. Salesforce experience would be a plus, but training will be available. Job #17386-5
