SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, MIT Technology Review, to be responsible for managing and coordinating sponsored projects under the MIT Technology Review Insights (hereafter “Insights”) portfolio of products which includes sponsored papers, sponsored articles, digital media, webcasts, podcasts, etc. Duties will include project management of custom content projects; aiding in the coordination of international custom projects; serving as primary liaison between clients and custom editors; building client relationships and maintaining excellent communications with internal and external partners; coordinating contracts, onboarding, and payment for freelance writers/editors/copy editors/designers/ other vendors; scheduling team check-in sessions, project kickoff calls, and other meetings; maintaining current project files; managing vendor sourcing outreach and negotiations and tracking project costs/expenditures, in order to maintain department profitability and stay within budgetary guidelines; participating in the ideation process for creating world-class custom content across multiple platforms and working with the sales team and management on the conceptualization and wording of Insights custom project proposals; and taking the lead on managing and coordinating events by Insights.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in business management or related field; at least five years’ project management experience; excellent organizational, project management, time management, reporting, and verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with clients/colleagues; proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel in particular) and Survey Monkey and other survey tools; experience organizing and hosting client events; and vendor management experience, including contract negotiation skills; and the ability to conceptualize custom content ideas for clients.
