UI/UX DESIGN LEAD, MIT Technology Review (MITTR), to join the talented multidisciplinary designers and developers of the product development team.  The product development team is a strategic partner that works with all of MITTR’s teams--editorial, design, marketing, sales, events, licensing, and custom content--to conceptualize and create beautiful digital experiences that will delight users, extend its reach, and magnify its impact. 


MIT Technology Review is a world-renowned name in technology news. It covers tech at the cutting edge, where it’s just emerging into the world.  Its recently revamped mission is to make technology more of a force for good, through journalism that leads to better decision-making by those who build, use, and regulate technology. MITTR reaches six-million people a month through its website, social feeds, email newsletters, print magazine, conferences, and content licensed to partners in many countries and languages. Technology Review benefits from its close ties to MIT while enjoying strict editorial independence. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least five years of role-specific experience; a balance of visual design and interaction design; solid understanding of design systems; strong interpersonal skills; ability to do user research and testing, use analytics to shape design recommendations, guide/mentor fellow designers, anticipate user needs, and suggest ways for the business to address them; and ability to own the look, feel, and function of a project from conception to completion with the goal of creating something that will not only inspire but stand up and improve over time.  Must be comfortable presenting to other stakeholders, hammering out ideas with them, and helping them find better ways to do things.  Job #16248-P
