POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE), to perform organic synthesis of small molecules and to study self-assembly and nanostructure properties. This position is supported by Professor Julia Ortony.
REQUIRED: a Ph.D. in chemistry and extensive experience performing organic syntheses. Those with a Ph.D. in related fields (materials science, chemical engineering, etc.) will also be considered. Seek an individual with a strong knowledge base and technical skills in chemical synthesis, purification, and characterization of small amphiphilic molecules. Must also have experience designing and characterizing systems that undergo molecular self-assembly and carrying out nanoscale characterization.
