Posting Description

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, The Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC), to lead the strategic and operational management of the new AI Computing Resource (AICR) supporting the state's AI Hub. This role will build and oversee a state-of-the-art high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for AI/ML research, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and strong stakeholder engagement. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new organization from the ground up, with high visibility across academia, government, and industry.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: A minimum of ten years of experience in high-performance computing, including five or more in a leadership capacity managing large-scale GPU-based systems; a strong technical background in HPC infrastructure spanning compute, storage, networking, and scheduling software; along with demonstrated experience overseeing complex operations, budgets, and personnel; and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of aligning technology operations to research and institutional priorities. PREFFERRED: Familiarity with cloud integration, performance benchmarking, and AI/ML workloads.
