SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR, Nuclear Reactor Laboratory (NRL), to perform complex and diverse duties in support of the lab director, the deputy lab director, and the research/services division. Responsibilities include producing proposals, PowerPoint presentations, and complex reports with graphics; assisting with the annual production of the Report to the President and the NRL annual report; coordinating NRL functions, meetings, conferences, and social events; making travel arrangements and preparing paperwork and reimbursements; and scheduling and coordinating MITR Safeguard Committee meetings. Additional responsibilities include coordinating submittal of Outside Professional Activities Report; making arrangements for distinguished visitors; managing calendars; providing background information to various stakeholders; overseeing conference room bookings; producing and disseminating meeting minutes and materials; managing the compilation, tracking, and uploading of research publications to the NRL website; assisting with updating website content such as research project summaries; distributing routine email reminders; handling general clerical tasks, e.g., faxing, mail, photocopying, deliveries, filing, etc.; posting announcements; and completing special projects as needed.
REQUIRED: minimum of five years' directly related experience; proficiency in English grammar and composition; highly developed organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and work in a demanding environment; exceptional analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking aptitude; experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and maintaining websites in Drupal; ability to identify and learn new software programs; discretion and good judgment with highly sensitive and confidential materials; flexibility; excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; and project coordination experience.
